Antcomics
To anybody who doesn't know them yet, i want to introduce the very funny Antcomics by Amy Hankins. There are new episodes added all the time so it is worth to check the page regularly. Especially interesting: The calendar for 2008.

Wie soll ich den Abend im Bloomsbury Theatre (24.09.2007) in Worte fassen?!?! Es ist praktisch unmöglich dem gerecht zu werden. Adam war unglaublich gut drauf und sah fantastisch aus! |

Wie gesagt, ich könnte mich in Schwärmereien verlieren, es war definitiv der schönste, aufregendste, unvergesslichste Abend meines Lebens - aber hier lieber die "Fakten": Die ganze Show dauerte ca. 2 Stunden wobei Adam abwechselnd aus seiner Autobiografie las und sang. Bei den Songs wurde er von seinem alten Schulfreund Dave Pash an der Gitarre begleitet.
Besonders interessant fand ich persönlich "Softly as i leave you", aber auch die alten Ant-Stücke bekamen nicht zuletzt durch die (in positivem Sinne) eigenwillige Interpretation von Dave Pash ganz neue Facetten. Ich möchte hier nicht weiter ausschweifen (und tue es wohl doch...), es ist eben ein sehr persönliches Erlebnis gewesen und im Grunde hält das Erlebnis noch immer an :-) Ob ich jemals wieder festen Boden unter die Füsse bekomme? Die treffendste Beschreibung ist einfach "unbeschreiblich". Eines fällt mir noch ein: In "Love Bites" sagte Adam, auf der Party auf dem Dach, "You must be the happiest people in history" oder etwas ähnliches - dieser Ausspruch passt seit dem 24. September 2007 auf alle die diesen Abend im Bloomsbury Theatre miterleben durften. Da im Theater striktes Foto- und Filmverbot herrschte, gibt es bisher leider nur recht wenige Aufnahmen zu sehen. Einige Fotos gibt's in der Galerie, ausserdem sollte man ein Auge auf die Galerie bei www.antfan.com werfen. Videoschnippsel gibt es bereits bei youtube, allerdings kann es durchaus sein, dass diese wieder entfernt werden. http://www.youtube.com/user/szigi63 Wer dabei war, braucht sicher weder Fotos noch Videos, aber für alle nicht so glücklichen ist es doch ein ganz guter Einblick. As announced by CNN (Carty News Now) and the Bloomsbury Theatre, London Adam will perform a reading at the above theatre on 24.09.2007 to promote the paperback issue of his autobiography. The performance will also include some antmusic with Dave Pash on guitar!

Antfest 2007 review

ANTFEST 2007! ... is over. Briefly speaking: it was great! We were a group of 6 people from the german ant forum, equiped with forum-thingies :-) to make sure we wont loose each other. It's hard to say how many people where there at the "Barfly"i'd say aprox. 250. Kevin Mooney only played as a guestmusician instead of playing with his band "Lavender Pill Mob", same goes for Terry Lee Miall, who is supposed to be the drummer of "Mantra II", but in fact they had a different drummer playing the gig. Terry Lee explained to me that he didn't had the chance to rehearse with the band. Oh well... "Antz Invasion" from the USA canceled their appearance some time before, but "Sangeeta" just didn't show up. Enough of the changes, here's who DID play: HAPPY MILLIONAIR, KINGS OF THE WILD FRONTIER, PUNK'D, MANTRA II, ANTFLAVOUR und ANTMUSIC. The latter were a worthy topact, which doesn't mean the other bads were less good! Here are setlists of Antmusic and Antflavour, which i took home as souvenirs.
